Weld County Patrol Vehicle Rammed

A 52-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly ramming his truck into a Weld County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle. The incident started around 6am Wednesday morning when police were called about a man in a white-colored truck who was attempting to get through a security gate on a property in the 3600 block of 65th Avenue in Greeley. The man was not cooperating with police, as they tried to get the man to exit the truck. During this time is when the man rammed his truck into the patrol car.

The roadways were closed off in the area, and a reverse 911 call went out as well. Two hours went by, when law enforcement officials finally removed the man forcefully from the truck. That man is Christian Lujan, who was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, criminal mischief and 1st degree assault on a peace officer. Lujan already had several court dates coming up in March that are unrelated to these new charges. Following being checked out and cleared at the hospital, he was booked into the Weld County jail.
