Power Outage

On Monday, after about 1pm, the Morgan County Rural Electric Association sent out a message that there was a big power outage in the area as many towns experienced this, due to issues at the transmission level. Reports came in that Wiggins, Orchard, Weldona and even Briggsdale had no power in the early afternoon hours. According to the outage maps, a good chunk of the I-76 corridor was included in this stretching west to Hudson, well north of Sterling, and areas south as well. The power eventually was restored as the Association stayed in contact with the power supplier during the outage.
