Fire crews respond to midday fire south of Brush in Morgan County on Monday

Just before Noon, around 11:50 am, on Monday, March 9^th, a 10-acre fire was reported south of Brush in Morgan County, near Highway 71, north of CR-L. Fire crews arrived on-scene, from Brush and Fort Morgan, with Washington County was called in to assist. According to scanner reports, fire crews were assisted by a couple of tractors with discs, trying to keep ahead of the fire as winds were blowing east. There were no major gusts, but winds were between 8 and 14mph, at the time of the blaze. Conditions across the region remain mostly dry despite the snowstorm that came through on Friday, March 6^th. There were no reports of injuries, or damage to any structures.
