Just before Noon, around 11:50 am, on Monday, March 9th, a 10-acre fire was reported south of Brush in Morgan County, near Highway 71, north of CR-L. Fire crews arrived on-scene, from Brush and Fort Morgan, with Washington County was called in to assist. According to scanner reports, fire crews were assisted by a couple of tractors with discs, trying to keep ahead of the fire as winds were blowing east. There were no major gusts, but winds were between 8 and 14mph, at the time of the blaze. Conditions across the region remain mostly dry despite the snowstorm that came through on Friday, March 6th. There were no reports of injuries, or damage to any structures.
