Another round of heavy thunderstorms went through NE Colorado on Monday evening. Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued late in the afternoon and going well into the evening with a line of cells stretching from Adams and Arapahoe counties to all the way north of the Colorado state line with Wyoming and Nebraska.
Multiple Flash flood warnings and advisories were issued as late as just before midnight across the region, as all of NE Colorado received some form of heavy weather. Solid rains dumped in Morgan County, as a system formed right over HWY 34, just west of Fort Morgan. The cells seemed to stall out and slowly move down HWY 34, as well as up the I-76 corridor, with Logan County receiving solid rains well into the evening. The storms tracked down 34 toward Yuma and Wray, as the night progressed, with reports of several inches of rain falling in Washington and Yuma Counties.
There may be some patchy fog in spots throughout the area this morning, with clear skies for most of the region for tonight. There are slight chances during the rest of the week for thundershowers, with 20-50% chances later in the week. The same storm system delayed or canceled over 700 flights out of Denver International Airport earlier in the afternoon.
