Wiggins earned the top overall seed in the Class 2A regional volleyball bracket released yesterday on chssanow.com. The Lady Tigers, who are hosting for a sixth straight season, entertain Grand Valley and Denver Christian on Saturday morning. Coverage begins at 10am and continues at 1pm on hometown radio KFTM, 94.1 FM and online at medialogicradio.com. Weldon Valley volleyball is also at home and takes on Hi-Plains at 6pm on Friday. The Lady Warriors just need a win over the Patriots to advance to the state tournament, which will be held at the Denver Coliseum next weekend.
In the opening round of the state football playoffs, both Brush and Wiggins are on the road. The Beetdiggers return to Rifle to battle the Bears, while Wiggins travels to undefeated Banning Lewis in Colorado Springs. Both games are Saturday at 1pm.
