Beef Fact #2: Cattle provide important ecosystem services, such as preserving open spaces and providing habitat for wildlife.
Beef Fact #3: Beef cattle are only responsible for 2% of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States.

Beef Fact #4: 90% of what cattle eat is forage and plant leftovers that people can't eat and would otherwise go to waste.
Beef Fact #5: Cattle use their unique stomachs to upcycle plants that humans can't eat and turn them into high-quality, delicious protein - beef.
Beef Fact #6: When cattle graze on land, their manure enriches the soil, which enables healthy plants to grow. This nutrient cycle also allows for carbon sequestration. Carbon sequestration is the process of capturing, removing and storing atmospheric CO2 to reduce global warming. It acts as a crucial method for decreasing greenhouse gases by storing carbon in plants, soils, oceans and geological formations.

Beef Fact #7: Approximately 80% of cattle feedlot production operations (Feed yards) in the United States are family-owned and operated.
Beef Fact #8: Cattle naturally prevent wildfires by eating the grass that fire would burn if it was left behind.
Beef Fact #9: Cattle burps are part of a natural cycle. The gases they release only stay in the atmosphere for 10 years before they return to the soil.

Beef Fact #10: If beef cattle were removed from the land, weeds and grasses would crowd out important native plants and flowers.
And MOST important: Grocery store beef and beef you get from your local producer is the same! Both are delicious and nutritious.!!
