It was a packed room at the Republican Party Headquarters in downtown Fort Morgan on Tuesday (10/8) evening, as constituents from the area gathered for what was supposed to be a speaking meet and greet with U.S. House of Representative & candidate Lauren Boebert. However, there was a fundraising event in Denver that evening that Vice-Presidential candidate J.D. Vance was attending, as he asked for her help with it.
In her place was her campaign manager & Deputy Chief of Staff & Press Secretary - Drew Sexton, who did a great job speaking on her behalf and answering as many questions as he could from the audience. Questions from the group ranged from the economy to term limits, border security, and many more. There have been a decent number of accomplishments that she has made that you won’t necessarily hear about, such as ‘Trust the Science’ Act, as an example. The Grey Wolf has made a comeback in Colorado, but it has caused problems for farmers and ranchers with livestock. It’s a bill that would d-list the Grey Wolf as an endangered species, it ended up being a bi-partisan piece of legislation that passed through the House of Representatives.
Drew said that they will get Representative Boebert back out to Fort Morgan, hopefully within the last 2 weeks of October.
