Recently, the Yuma Police Department, along with Media Logic Radio and Yuma’s 100.9 KNEC, partnered to hand out green certificates to people with a sticker, as they would receive cash for being an ‘Outlaw’. Many local businesses also handed out ‘I’m an Outlaw’ stickers in their stores. The idea was to create a scholarship for a local graduate with the help of the many sponsors. According to David (DJ) Hass, the School Resource Officer with the Yuma Police Department, a scholarship in the amount of $1,500 was awarded to Yuma High School Senior Chloe Smith. Chloe will use that money to help her pursue a future in Nursing. Congratulations to Chloe Smith of Yuma High School!
