Early Tuesday afternoon, August 12th, the Fort Morgan Police Department received a call for ‘shots fired’ in the 300 block of State Street near Beaver Avenue.

The organization known online as ‘Colorado Ped Patrol’ was contacting a person working in Wiggins, accusing them of Internet luring of a minor.

Richard Lara is a registered sex offender with a 2017 conviction for a similar crime. ICAC cases often require a significant amount of time to fully investigate.
