Late Sunday evening, a suspicious device was discovered on the grounds of Brush Secondary Campus. Police and fire crews responded immediately, and out of caution they also searched Thomson Primary School and Beaver Valley Elementary.
On September 24, 2025, at approximately 4:59 PM, the Sterling Police Department responded to the 200 block of Taylor Street on the report of a disturbance involving a firearm.
