A RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT / 1 PM CDT/ TODAY TO 8 PM MDT / 9 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING – This includes Yuma, Kit Carson, Cheyenne CO, Cheyenne KS, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Sherman, Thomas-Sheridan, Graham, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley, Wichita, Dundy, Hitchcock & Red Willow Counties in Colorado and the tri-state area.
Winds out of the South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Relative Humidity levels as low as 9 percent.
Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control. Comply with burn bans and regulations. Avoid driving on dry grass or brush. Maintain vehicle brakes and tires, and secure tow chains to avoid dragging. Never toss lit cigarettes onto the ground.
