April is 'Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness' month in Morgan County

A couple of proclamations were read on April 7th in Morgan County declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness month.

At the Morgan County Board of County Commissioners meeting, Suzanne Brown with the Department of Human Services read the proclamation during the morning meeting. Fort Morgan Mayor Doug Schossow read the proclamation during the City Council meeting on the evening of the 7th. Both entities fully approved it.

At the Fort Morgan City Council meeting, the Executive Director of the SARA House, Paula Bragg, thanked the mayor and council. She mentioned a fundraising event coming up on the evening of April 22nd. Dancing with Morgan County Stars will be held at the Riverview Event Center, with doors opening at 6 pm and the event beginning at 7 pm. For more information, go to sarahouseco.org/events.
