Yuma County Sheriff needs help from the public related to the fire near County Roads T and 26 from Wednesday, April 22

The fire at CR T & CR 26, south of Eckley, is contained; however, crews will continue monitoring the area for hot spots. The Sheriff's Office extends our sincere thanks to the Wray Fire Department, Eckley Fire, Yuma Fire, Vernon Fire, W-Y Communications, and the citizens who stepped up to assist with water.

*The Yuma County Sheriff's Office needs the public’s help immediately:

If you live within five miles west of CR T from CR 26 to HWY 34 and have a Ring doorbell or any type of security camera system, please contact the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office right away.

We are actively seeking video footage from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on April 22, 2026.
