WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 2 PM MST THURSDAY


For Elbert-Douglas-Morgan-Adams-Arapahoe & Washington Counties in Colorado. Including the cities of Wiggins, Akron, Deer Trail, Byers, Cope, Last Chance, Otis, Elbert, Larkspur, Goodrich, Bennett, Fort Morgan, Leader, Kiowa, & Brush.


Total snow accumulations 2 to 8 inches expected. Highest amounts are expected over the Palmer Divide and I-70 corridor east of Denver, with lesser accumulations for Morgan and Washington Counties.


Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday morning commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling.


There is a 20-60% chance for snow in the Sterling area, and up to a 70% chance for snow in Wray on the extreme eastern plains, with less than ½ inch possible in those locations.
