Winter Storm Warnings & Watches Continue on the Eastern Plains

NWS - WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON.


For heavy additional snow accumulations of 2 to 7 inches. For Cheyenne, Kit Carson, and Yuma Counties. Including the cities of Cheyenne Wells, Wray, Arapahoe, Yuma, and Burlington. Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. People traveling on Interstate 70 will experience travel delays and hazardous driving conditions. Use extreme caution if you must travel. Severe winter weather conditions are occurring which will produce extreme hardship or loss of life for unprotected livestock.

For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy wet snow is possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches possible. For the same area.
