Winter Storm Warnings & Advisories for NE Colorado

*NWS - WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MDT THIS EVENING.

Morgan-Logan-Sedgwick-Phillips Counties in Colorado. Includes the areas in and around Fort Morgan, Wiggins, Brush, Sterling, Julesburg, and Holyoke. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Travel could be very difficult, with the heaviest snow accumulations likely to be south of I-76, but blowing and drifting snow will be a concern along the I-76 corridor. Slow down & use caution.


*NWS - WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MDT THURSDAY.

Yuma-Kit Carson-Cheyenne Counties. Including the cities of Wray, Yuma, Arapahoe, Cheyenne Wells, and Burlington. Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 12 inches. Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Winds may gust to 30-40 mph, especially (Wednesday) this morning. Blowing snow may be possible at times, be alert for sudden reductions in visibility. People traveling on Interstate 70 will experience travel delays and hazardous driving conditions. Use extreme caution. Severe winter weather conditions are either occurring or imminent which will produce extreme hardship or loss of life for unprotected livestock.
