**WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST FRIDAY. Heavy wet snow and mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 7 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. A band of heavy snow is forecast to develop across northern portions of Yuma County. Includes the cities of Yuma & Wray - A band of heavy wet snow is forecast to develop mainly along and north of Highway 36 in Yuma County around 9am and persist through the late afternoon hours. Snowfall rates of 2-3 inches per hour are possible in this area. A period of freezing rain and sleet is possible around sunrise as cooler air moves in and changes rain into wintry precipitation.
