City of Brush! -
City of Brush needs Councilors for Ward I and Ward II. Ward I is the area of Brush from the west city limit boundary to the center line of Hospital Road. Ward II is the area of Brush from east of the center line of Hospital Road to the west of the center line of Carson Street.
They are looking for a resident of Ward I and a resident of Ward II to complete one more year of the current 4 year terms on City Council for each seat!
Criteria to be a Council Member: They must currently reside and have resided for 12 months in the respective ward, be a Registered Voter, at least 18 years of age, a U.S. Citizen & hold no other elective office. Regular Council meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 6:00 p.m. The average time commitment is 2-5 hours per week which includes preparation for and participation in regular meetings, special meetings, and any board / commission appointments.
To be considered for the seat: You must Submit a 1-2 page letter describing your interest in the seat, and any experience you think may bring value to the City Council. Submit your letter by 5:00p.m. on Wednesday, January 8th. (No experience necessary.)
