Tip Leads to Arrest by Fort Morgan Police

On Monday, July 25th, 2025, detectives with the Fort Morgan Police Department received a tip from the International Crimes Against Children (ICAC) indicating that a person with an IP address in Fort Morgan had 24 files sexually depicting young children. Through information received on the tip, detectives were able to identify the location of the child pornography, believed to be the home of 79-year-old Marne Jurgemeyer, of Fort Morgan.
The investigation revealed probable cause to believe that Jurgemeyer was the person who had child pornography. He was arrested on August 6th, 2025, and held without bond until he appeared in front of a judge for advisement this afternoon. The judge set bond at $10,000 PR (Personal Recognizance).
After the arrest, a search warrant was executed at the home of Jurgemeyer, and many more items were found that were indicative of Jurgemeyer being the individual responsible for the contraband. Another arrest warrant was sought for his arrest on August 7, 2025. This warrant involved 170 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child. This warrant is, once again, no bond until he is advised by the judge.
Evidence obtained to date shows that Jurgemeyer may have been involved in this type of activity for many years. Numerous items were seized from his home and will be forensically searched for further photos, videos, and images.
