-Chief, Tyson Kerr, Sterling Police Department
On November 29, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Sterling Police Officers
responded to a reported robbery at a residence in the 100 block of
Hamilton Street. Three armed male suspects wearing hoodies and masks
forced their way into a residence, assaulting one victim and stealing several
items before fleeing. The assaulted victim denied medical treatment and
was not transported.
During the subsequent investigation by patrol officers, the suspects were
contacted during a traffic stop shortly after the robbery and arrested
without incident. Multiple stolen items were recovered from the vehicle,
along with numerous guns and other evidentiary items.
These identified suspects
were transported to the Logan County Detention
Center and charged.

Each were charged with the following:
18-4-302(1)(b)(c) Aggravated Robbery F3 x3 Counts
18-4-202(1) First Degree Burglary F3 x1 Counts
18-3-203(1)(b) Assault in the 2nd Degree F4 x1 Counts
18-3-206 Menacing F5 x3 Counts
18-4-401(1)(a)(2)(f) Theft F6 x2 Counts
At least one of the suspects is familiar with the victims and the investigation
indicates this was not a random incident. There is no overt threat to the
community.
