Sunday's suspicious fire in Yuma County remains under investigation

In a press release from the Yuma County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Todd Combs, there was another suspicious fire in Yuma County that occurred on Sunday afternoon, March 15th, at approximately 3:30 pm (MDT). The fire was on County Road CC, near CR-24, 1.1 miles south of Vernon, or southwest of Wray.
Sheriff Combs thanked the citizens of Yuma County, Colorado, for their vigilance & quick response in alerting the Sheriff's office. Citizens provided photos and information that will become invaluable in the investigation of the fire.
Arsonists are notoriously difficult to catch, and observant residents help to play a major role in solving this case.
Sheriff Combs also wanted to extend his gratitude to the firefighters & farmers who assisted in containing the fire quickly.
