Sterling Police Department Responds to Fatal Motorcycle Accident

August 30, 2024 –


At approximately 11:20 a.m. this morning, Sterling police officers responded to a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a van on East Highway 6, just east of Highway 61, near the

Reata Travel Stop.


Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals with significant injuries. Both drivers were transported to Sterling Regional MedCenter for medical treatment. Tragically, the driver of the motorcycle, a 43-year-old female out of Loveland, CO, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.


The collision is currently under joint investigation by the Sterling Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol.
