A man from Sterling has been arrested in Kimball County, Nebraska, for stealing a full spool of transmission line cable. Thirty-two-year-old Corey Ramsey was caught on security video stealing $16,000 worth of cable and loading the spool onto the trailer that was towed by his truck.

A plant manager reported the theft, as deputies were able to follow the tire tracks in the mud, which led to Ramsey, who got his truck and trailer stuck in the mud just southwest of Kimball on Tuesday, June 3rd. Ramsey provided conflicting stories about how the spool got onto his trailer in the first place.

He is being charged with theft of over $5,000 and is being held on a $100,000 bond. He has a hearing scheduled for Tuesday, June 17th.
