·         NWS - Red Flag Warning until 5 pm MDT for Morgan, Logan, Washington, Sedgewick, and Phillips counties. 25-35mph winds – 55-65mph gusts – Humidity 15-20 percent

·         Red Flag Warning until 5 pm MDT for Yuma, Kit Carson, Cheyenne, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley, Wichita, Dundy, Hitchcock, and Red Willow Counties in Colorado & the tri-state area. 35-45mph winds – gusts up to 70mph – Humidity level is 17%

·         Air Quality Alert – Wildfire Smoke - eastern Yuma and Kit Carson Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Wray, Vernon, Idalia, and Burlington. Smoke from multiple wildfires will impact eastern portions of Yuma and Kit Carson Counties Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. Moderate to heavy smoke is expected in areas downwind of these fires, including along Highway 385 south of Wray and along I-70 near Burlington. Public Health Recommendations: If smoke is thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remain indoors. This is especially true for those with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young, and older adults. Consider limiting outdoor activity when moderate to heavy smoke is present. Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and is making you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.

·         High Wind Warning for the same locations on the eastern plains & the tri-state region. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive. Blowing dust can significantly lower air quality and it is encouraged that you take preventative measures such as staying indoors or wearing protective breathing masks if outside. High dust concentrations can cause respiratory problems, decrease lung activity, aggravate asthma, and lead to potential heart-related problems, especially with children, elderly or those with pre-existing respiratory conditions.
