Mountain View Fire Rescue crews had their hands full Wednesday night when four tractor-trailers were on fire at a truck stop on Highway 119, west of I-25.
The call came around 9:50 pm in Weld County, and when fire crews arrived on the scene, three of the four rigs were fully engulfed in flames. Mountain View firefighters worked on the fire for 20 minutes before getting the blaze under control. There were some explosions from the tires and fuel tanks as crews battled the flames, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire was out by 10:30 pm, as fire crews spent the next hour mopping up any hot spots. No cause was given for the fire, as it remains under investigation.
