Missing Yuma Resident Found Dead

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, the Yuma Police Department received a report of a missing person, Britani Meek. It was reported that Ms. Meek was going to the Denver area to meet with an unknown person. During the course of the investigation into the missing person report, Ms Meek’s car was located on Thursday, November 16, in rural Yuma County. On Wednesday, November 22, a body was located, and on Monday, November 27, an autopsy was performed, and the identity of the decedent was positively identified as 25 year-old Britani Meek. At this time, the investigation is still ongoing and no further information will be released.
