It was a packed house at the Block in Fort Morgan on Friday night as the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation held their annual meeting with over 120 people from the business communities across Morgan County attending the event. Among the highlights mentioned were that the grant funds they have received have boosted their total asset position to $1.3million, which is a 305% increase from 2022.
Executive Director Kristen Clifford-Basil was at the podium to announce this year’s award winners. The small-business of the year award went to Allo Fiber, and the large-business award went to Magnum Feedyard. The Sage award was given to USDA Rural Development & the Investor of the Year Award went to Mike Blecha & Kinnon Entertainment. Following the awards and dinner, everyone was treated to a night of great early 90’s country music courtesy of a band that will be back at BOBstock this year, Double-Wide.
