Rain wasn’t the only thing there was plenty of on Tuesday afternoon around Fort Morgan; there were also numerous traffic accidents.

Police, Fire, and EMS responded to a 2-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Platte Avenue/HWY-34 and Lake Street. Just after 2 pm, a black 4-door sedan collided with a light-colored Kia SUV. The left lane on the westbound side of Platte was blocked for about 25 minutes, resulting in mild backups. There were no injuries involved with the crash, as it was cleared out completely by 2:30 pm.

A short time later, another minor crash occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Platte Avenue. Those vehicles drove into the Walgreens parking lot on the northeast corner without major issues.

Rush hour brought trouble to the interstate, as there was a single vehicle rollover crash that happened on the eastbound side of I-76 at MM 72, not too far from the Long Bridge exit. CDOT cameras showed the rolled vehicle on its wheels, blocking both lanes of eastbound traffic on I-76. The wreck occurred just after 5 pm, as traffic had to get by the crash on the right shoulder, causing about a ½ mile of backups. There were no injuries associated with this crash, as law enforcement waited for tow trucks to clear the vehicle and debris, as everything was cleared just after 6 pm.

A reminder to slow down, on or off the highway, during inclement weather, be it rain or snow. Use caution when driving.

Radio, the way it's meant to be.
