The boys won their 7th consecutive regional tournament in Akron, and will be sending 8 wrestlers to the state tournament this week at Ball Arena in Denver. Austin Collins, Samuel Meisner, and Tavery Chappell finished 1st, Andrew Buoy and Casey Midcap finished in 2nd, while Lance Buoy, Brody Richards, and Eric Tracy finished in 3rd to advance to state. Other placers include Jaden DePue at 5th and Jose Gonzalez at 6th. The Girls wrestled in their first ever regional tournament, finishing in 24th place of 26 schools in Fort Lupton, where no Lady Eagles placed individually. Congratulations to the girls for a great first year of the program, providing a foundation to build off of in years to come.

Wray Basketball split their games at Julesburg against Sedgwick County on Friday. The boys won their game 55-41, while the girls lost 52-45 in a hard fought game against the defending 2A champions. The teams then had their games against Heritage Christian on Saturday postponed due to heavy snow in Fort Collins. Those games will be played tonight, with varsity girls playing at 4 followed by varsity boys. Live coverage of both games will be on KRDZ.
