KNEC Sports Update 10/6/23

Yuma football returns home tonight for their homecoming game as they take on the Burlington Cougars. Yuma is 2-3, ranked #15 in 1A and coming off 3 losses in a row, but are looking to get back to .500 by beating the Cougars. Kickoff is at 7pm and it will be broadcasted live on 100.9 KNEC and medialogicradio.com/knec.

Yuma volleyball will take on Burlington at home this afternoon with the varsity team set to play around 5pm. They are 8-8 and looking to get back to a winning record against the Cougars. This game will not be broadcasted. They will play again tomorrow afternoon at 1pm at home against Byers and that game can be listened to on KNEC.

Yuma County Softball beat Limon Thursday in both games of a doubleheader. Scores were 9-5 and 12-8. They finish the season 11-11 and will make the postseason.
