Chloe Mitchell scored 15 points off the bench to lead Niwot in a (67-35) victory over the Lady Mustangs last night at Stan Lampe Gymnasium. The 67 points for the Cougars was a season high as they won their fifth straight over Fort Morgan. Shea Ramirez had a team high 11 points for the Lady Mustangs.
The Niwot boys broke open a tight game in the fourth quarter to keep the Mustangs winless in a final of (56-34). Up three in the third, the Cougars went on to outscore the Mustangs (22-6) in the final eight minutes. Jackson Carano had a game high 23, and Aiden Garver led Fort Morgan with 11. Both Mustangs squads are back on their home floor tomorrow against Skyline at 5:30pm and 7pm on hometown radio KFTM, 94.1 FM, and online at medialogicaradio.com
The Weldon Valley Lady Warriors won their second straight (46-17) on the road at Two Roads Charter. No score as of this morning had been reported for the boys. Weldon Valley won’t play again until next Friday at Deertrail at 5pm.
