KDRZ Sports Update 10/6/23

Yuma County Softball swept Limon in last night's doubleheader 9-5 and 12-8. In game 1, YC used a 5 run 4th inning to take a 7-5 lead and added 2 more in the 6th to get the win, while in game 2 they trailed 7-0 when they plated all 12 of their runs in the 4th through 6th innings to completely flip the momentum and complete the sweep. Yuma County combined for 21 hits across both games. They finish the season with an 11-11 record, and will play in the regional tournament next Saturday.

Wray Cross Country will run at Wiggins tomorrow morning at 9am.

Wray Football is at home to take on Limon in a state championship rematch tomorrow. Kickoff will be at 1 with pregame coverage starting at noon.

Wray Volleyball will be back in action next Friday against Yuma, then will take on Elbert, Caliche, and Flatirons Academy at Caliche on the following day.
