Intoxicated Woman Steals Car, Causes Damage in Sterling

A 22-year-old woman from Denver is accused of stealing a car while she was drunk and then causing damage in Sterling. Once she was behind the wheel, she drove the stolen vehicle through 6 backyards and nearly ended up in a ditch.
According to police, several fences and power transformers were damaged, as the intoxicated woman fled the scene after the car came to a stop. She was apprehended not long after that, as she now faces multiple charges. She was released from the Logan County jail on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond, as she is due in court
