The lights were bright and the stakes were even higher inside Ball Arena as the State Wrestling Tournament took center stage February 19–21 in Denver, and Media Logic Radio was there every step of the way.
Proudly sending a five-man broadcast team, Media Logic Radio committed to covering 84 area wrestlers throughout three action-packed days. From the first whistle Thursday morning to the final championship matches Saturday night, our crew delivered back-to-back coverage, bringing the intensity, emotion, and unforgettable moments home to listeners across the region.
This year’s tournament gave us history in the making. We had the privilege of witnessing two incredible three-peat state champions: Austin Collins of Wray and Ritchie Bruno of Brush each with a third straight title — a testament to years of dedication and hard work. We also celebrated a first-time state champion as Cooper Edson of SedgeCo-Fleming claimed his spot at the top of the podium in unforgettable fashion.
From thrilling overtime wins to emotional medal stand moments, the tournament showcased the very best of Colorado wrestling. We extend congratulations to all the girls and boys wrestlers who competed with heart, toughness, and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
Media Logic Radio is honored to tell the stories of our local athletes. Covering this event isn’t just part of what we do — it’s a privilege.
