The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, in effect from 10 am Wednesday through 12 am Wednesday night.

This is for the Front Range and Northeast Colorado, including Weld, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Washington, Sedgwick, and Phillips Counties in Colorado.

  • WINDS out of the Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

  • RELATIVE HUMIDITY levels between 5 and 10 percent.

  • Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire.

*A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen to later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
