Fire Incident at Yuma Middle School Concessions Room

At approximately 11:19 am on Tuesday, June 25, a fire broke out in the concessions room of Yuma Middle School. All occupants were promptly evacuated, and there were no serious injuries as a result of this incident. The Yuma Fire Department responded swiftly to the scene and confirmed the fire had not spread and it was successfully extinguished. A certified state fire investigator was called in to assist with the investigation, and after a thorough investigation it was determined the fire was  accidental. Activities at Yuma Middle School were temporarily disrupted due to the evacuation and emergency response.
