The weather is getting warmer, so the outdoor burning season will be here soon, as Morgan County Sheriff Dave Martin wants to inform the public of a ‘Fire-Condition’ Hot-Line that people can call to get the latest update on fire conditions for that day. High winds and Red Flag Warnings are quite common in the spring & summer months in Northeast Colorado and officials want all citizens to be safe and avoid the potential for wildfires. The ’Fire-Condition’ hotline number is 970-542-3452. The information will give you updates on what weather conditions, and other factors, are in place for that particular day. This should help you to determine if conditions are good for a controlled burn or not. If you have a controlled burn planned, please call the Morgan County Sheriff's Office at 970 867-2461 to notify them of it, to prevent an unnecessary response from fire department personnel. BE SAFE!
