As of the noon hour on Thursday, May 29th, I-25 in northern Colorado remains shut down in both directions due to a crash involving a loaded semi-trailer that slammed into the overpass, and was lying sideways, blocking all lanes.
I-25 was closed on both sides between CO-56 & exit 245, NB traffic was diverted at exit 243 at HWY 66, with backups during the rush hour to Hwy 119, and southbound traffic had to exit the interstate at exit 250 – HWY 56, with traffic backed up to the Johnstown exit. The wreck happened at about 3 am Thursday morning, and crews were still working to clear debris, as traffic was detouring off the interstate.
The truck was transporting mostly paper products.
