CSP Trooper Crashes into Fire Truck

Monday afternoon, at approximately 3:22 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) had Motorcycle Troopers on patrol eastbound on Interstate 76 between milepost 45 and 46 in Weld County, when one trooper crashed with an eastbound fire department vehicle. The trooper was transported to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The trooper is expected to make a full recovery. The fire department's vehicle and driver remained on scene after the crash. Weld County Sheriff’s Department will serve as the primary investigating agency.
