As of 9am this morning, the Alexander Mountain Fire had burned more than 5,000 acres in the Arapahoe & Roosevelt National Forests, north of HWY 34. So far, no structures have been confirmed as damaged or destroyed, and no injuries have been reported.
As of 10am this morning, the Stone Canyon Fire near Lyons has burned over 1,300 acres and destroyed five homes. Unfortunately, one person has died, according to fire officials, with no other details at this time. Neither fire has been contained.
The Quarry Fire burning in Jefferson County, south of C-470, has charred 130 acres near Deer Creek Canyon, just west of Grizzley Drive. No reports of injuries so far, and no structures have been damaged.
The Currant Creek Fire that’s burning in Delta County near Cedaredge, burned more than 180 acres, with 20% containment as of this morning. No structures have been damaged by this fire, and there are no reports of injuries either.
