On February 16, members of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 2 male juveniles who were wanted for the theft of a mint condition White, 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle, along with 2 firearms, and were believed to be armed & dangerous. The 2 juveniles were contacted after a short pursuit that ended at (11460) CR-71.

At the time of their arrest, the juveniles said that they were no longer in possession of the Chevelle, and didn’t know where it was. As the investigation continued, investigators with the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, had information that the vehicle was still located in NE Colorado. On May 14th, more information was gathered that the car was most likely in the Wiggins area. On May 15th, the MCSO received a call about an abandoned vehicle on CR-144 & CR-5. MCSO Undersheriff Horton was able to confirm that it was the stolen Chevelle, as the vehicle was recovered, and the owners were notified.

Charges are pending upon further investigation of others involved in the incident. The appraised value of the car is approximately $190,000.
