Brush Police Department -

On October 30, 2024, an officer with the Brush Police Department responded to McDonald's for a burglary that took place in the early morning hours. That officer learned that the suspect forced entry into the building and was able to gain access to the safe and steal the money that was inside it. A couple of weeks later, the case officer and investigator received information on a possible suspect, however, there was not enough evidence at the time to apply for an arrest warrant. On April 20, 2025, the case officer, investigator, and the other on-duty officers received additional information on the suspect, which was enough to apply for an arrest warrant.

These officers arrested Brandon Childress on unrelated charges and served him with the arrest warrant while he was in custody on the charges from earlier in their shift. Brandon, a transient in the Morgan County area, was charged with Second Degree Burglary, Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Criminal Mischief for the McDonald's burglary. Brandon was advised on these charges on April 21, 2025, and received a $10,000.00 cash/ surety bond. Brandon has a lengthy criminal history out of Nevada that includes Battery, Burglary, Forgery, Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Domestic Violence. Officers are expecting additional individuals to be charged with their involvement in this case.
