Brush Fire Department Deployed to Meeker Fire

Brush Volunteer Fire Department -
They are deploying a crew to the fires in Meeker for the next 14 days. The initial crew will be Engine Boss Massey and Firefighter Mosqueda. They left the station on Thursday, August 7th.
While they have deployed before this will be the department’s first full 14-day deployment. They also have two members deployed with Crook Fire on the Meeker fires and they left Wednesday morning for a 14-day deployment.
The Meeker fire grew from 22,000 acres to 58,000 acres this last week, as Colorado Governor Jared Polis has declared it a state of emergency.
