Brush Fire Department Deployed to Meeker Fire

Brush Volunteer Fire Department -

They are deploying a crew to the fires in Meeker for the next 14 days. The initial crew will be Engine Boss Massey and Firefighter Mosqueda. They left the station on Thursday, August 7^th.

While they have deployed before this will be the department’s first full 14-day deployment. They also have two members deployed with Crook Fire on the Meeker fires and they left Wednesday morning for a 14-day deployment.

The Meeker fire grew from 22,000 acres to 58,000 acres this last week, as Colorado Governor Jared Polis has declared it a state of emergency.
