City of Brush -
At the July 28th Brush City Council meeting, Council considered an ordinance to renew a long-standing franchise agreement with Spectrum, which will adopt an updated franchise agreement for cable services. Council voted to approve on first reading and publish, which means they have published the ordinance in its entirety on their website and in the newspaper for public review. There will now be a public hearing for the public to have an opportunity to express their comments before the second reading. If approved on second reading, the ordinance will take effect after a 30-day period. The process of adopting ordinances is set by Colorado statute and requires the procedure just summarized.
Public hearing for the ordinance will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 6:00 pm during our regular Brush City Council meeting in Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 600 Edison Street. Members of the public are welcome to express their comments in favor of or in opposition to the ordinance.
Written comments may also be delivered to the City Clerk by mail to P.O. Box 363, Brush, CO 80723, email to lpackard@brushcolo.com, or in person to 600 Edison Street before the 6:00 Council meeting on August 25th.
Please direct all questions to the City Clerk at 970-842-5001 or lpackard@brushcolo.com. They can't guarantee they will see your questions if they are left on Facebook.
