According to an anonymous tip from one of the Cargill workers affected by the May 20 lockout, there is a petition for Cargill employees that is available for signing regarding a re-vote for the latest contract proposal from Cargill.
The group will be in Glenn Miller Park in downtown Fort Morgan by the library. According to the source, the petition will be available to sign until around 5 pm this evening (Wednesday, August 6).
This is for a re-vote on the contract offered by Cargill from Tuesday, July 28th. Workers who are represented by the Teamsters Local 455 voted narrowly against the latest agreement with a 749-724 vote. The vote against it was won by just 25 votes.
