National Weather Service – Has issued a Red Flag Warning that will be in effect from 11 am Thursday through 9 pm (MDT) Thursday for wind and low relative humidity for North Park and portions of the northern and northeastern Colorado plains. This includes Larimer, Weld, Logan, Sedgwick, and Phillips Counties.
WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
RELATIVE HUMIDITY as low as 9%.
Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire.
* A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions will occur. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
