National Weather Service – Has issued a Red Flag Warning that will be in effect from 11 am Thursday through 9 pm (MDT) Thursday for wind and low relative humidity for North Park and portions of the northern and northeastern Colorado plains. This includes Larimer, Weld, Logan, Sedgwick, and Phillips Counties.

  • WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

  • RELATIVE HUMIDITY as low as 9%.

  • Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire.

* A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions will occur. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

As always, these forecasts can change, so stay tuned for more updates if any.
