First responders were on the scene of a crash involving 2 vehicles at the intersection of Platte Avenue and Lake Street in Fort Morgan on Friday afternoon.

At about 1:15 pm on September 18, a Honda SUV was traveling eastbound on Platte Avenue approaching Lake Street when it collided with a Ford F-250. The person in the Honda exited the vehicle on his own but was clearly shaken up after the crash, as Police, EMTs, and Fire Crews responded quickly. The driver of the Honda was taken away by ambulance but was conscious. The driver of the Ford pickup appeared uninjured and cooperated with investigators.

EB Highway 34 was closed for a couple of blocks during the initial cleanup and investigation. Crews cleaned up the vehicle's fluids as a tow truck arrived on scene to take the Honda away. The crash was cleared by 1:40 pm, and traffic flow returned to normal in a quick manner. No other details are available at this time.
