A season ago, Sprague was still learning the varsity game. According to MaxPreps, the then-freshman appeared in 19 sets for the Lady Dragons, primarily as a defensive specialist. A year later, Sprague has transformed into one of the team’s primary offensive weapons.
Now just a sophomore, Sprague has emerged as a difference-maker for the Lady Dragons. She has recorded 151 kills, placing her second in Class 2A and 12th among all players statewide. Her production isn’t limited to the attack, either. She has also registered 35 blocks, a total that currently ranks first in the Class 2A classification.
Sprague has quickly established herself as one of the Lady Dragons’ key contributors — and one of the players opponents have to account for every time she rotates to the front row.
