Senior Macey Doherty was a big part of bringing back the Sterling Girls golf program after it was dormant for years. Macey had to spend the first two years of her career playing for the Brush team. But during that time, she was able to show the Sterling administration there was considerable interest to bring back the Tigers Spring golf team. Macey has represented the Tigers well the last two seasons. She was a regional champion in 2024 and was able to accomplish that feat again in '25, winning by 16 shots! Macey hopes to complete her high school career with a 2A individual title. She has won 6 of the 10 tournaments she has competed in this season. Macey plans to continue her golf career at Ottawa University in Surprise, Arizona.
