Just a sophomore, Evelyn Lapp is making history as the youngest athlete to be featured as our Player Spotlight. And after what she did as a freshman, it’s easy to see why.

In cross country, Lapp finished 6th at State, earned First Team All-State and All-Conference honors, and set a new school record with a time of 18:07. Then came track season. She earned First Team All-State and All-Conference honors while finishing 2nd in the 3200, 3rd in the 800 and 8th in the 1600 at State.

Okay… let’s catch our breath!

Now, Lapp heads into Year 2 looking to build on an incredible freshman campaign. She’s already made her mark, and if Year 1 was any indication, this young Lady Digger is just getting started.
